Allen Lee Breaux

Allen served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1972 to 1978, including a tour in Vietnam, where he served as a machine gunner. When he came home, he spent much of his working life doing something he loved, driving trucks.

Family was the center of Allen's world. He took Cindy and the children crabbing and fishing, and he spent many good hours on the water with his neighbor, Warren Broussard. He found joy in the simple things, like mowing the grass.

Allen loved music. He enjoyed playing the drums, the accordion, the spoons, and the scrub board, and he loved listening to Cajun music. Every Thanksgiving, he fried the turkey for the whole family, a tradition that will be remembered and missed.

Allen was preceded in death by his father, Clifton Lawrence Breaux; his mother-in-law, Thelma Marie Mays; his granddaughter, Taylor Folsom; and his godparents, Paul and Ida Belle Regan.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Cindy Breaux; his children, Chris Mays and wife Samantha, Leon Folsom and wife Julie, Cliff Breaux and wife Kimberly, and Thomas Breaux; his siblings, Terry Breaux and wife Barbara, Kevin Breaux and wife Karen, and Tammy Breaux; along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He also leaves behind cherished friends and family, Doug and Helen Jean, Warren and Debbie Broussard, and Jesse and Beate Beebout.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on August 1, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Faith Bible Church of Lake Charles.
