Andrew Dougay

He loved church and was a dedicated Christian at St. John Bosco Catholic Church. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 1. He was an avid card player and pool player. He was retired from Conoco Vista where he was awarded twice “One Million Mile Accident Free” safety award. Above all, he loved his family.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Melvia B. Dougay; parents, Joseph and Amant Marie Dougay; son, Gary Dougay; brothers, Alcide, Roy, Black, and Harry Dougay; sisters, Mary, Lucille, Mable, Nora and Rose.

He is survived by his son, Michael Dougay and wife, Milly of Lumberton, TX, daughters, Brenda Leger and husband, Mike of Lake Charles, and Cathy Sellers and husband, Ricky of Houston, TX; 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

His funeral will be 11am, Saturday, July 28, 2012 at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. The Deacon Carraway will officiate. Visitation will begin Friday, 4pm-9pm at the funeral home with a rosary at 6pm and resume Saturday 9am until service time. Burial will be in Westlake Memorial Cemetery.
