

He was a native of Ute, Iowa and had lived in Lake Charles since 1956. Arnold was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. He was a Navy Veteran serving in World War II. He worked for 31 years at Firestone. Arnold loved fishing and shrimping.
Survivors include daughters, Bertha Kuhlmann of DeRidder and Jane Manint of Gillis; and four grandchildren, Christopher Kuhlmann, Melita Manint, Corey Manint and Dana Manint. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Kuhlmann; his parents, Ben and Bertha Kuhlmann; daughters, Rebecca and Linda Kuhlmann; brothers, Alfred, Arthur, Wilbert, Ervin, Ahart, Alvin and LaVerne; sisters, Velma Campbell, Agnes Pedersen, Lilly Rohde and Rosa Rohde.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday, August 22, at St. John Lutheran Church in Lake Charles. Pastor Charles Miller will officiate. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles from 4p.m. to 8p.m. and Friday at St. John Lutheran Church from 9a.m. until service time.
