She was a native of Lake Charles. She was a graduate of the Louisiana School for the Deaf and a member of the Catholic Deaf Center and loved her cats and dogs.
She is survived by her daughters, Catherine Fontenot and husband, Raphael of Iowa; Elizabeth Bridgers and husband, James of Sulphur; mother, Maisie Hargrove of Lake Charles; sister, Shirley Manuel and husband, Robert of Lake Charles; seven grandchildren, Melissa Fontenot, Jared Bridgers, Jennifer Hammons, Sarah Smith, Matthew Fontenot, Katie Bridgers, Jake Bridgers and 6 great grandchildren.
Her service will be 3:30 p.m., Sunday, January 20, 2013, at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Visitation will be Saturday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and resume Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Interment will be at Highland Memory Gardens.
