Beatrice "Bea" Aucoin

Moss Bluff- Beatrice ”Bea” Westbrook Aucoin, 87, passed away August 8, 2012 in Moss Bluff. She was born in Baton Rouge, LA to Marvin Lee Westbrook and Anna Rebecca Dougherty Westbrook. She married Edward Clinton Aucoin Sr. on January 31, 1948. Mrs. Aucoin graduated from Pride High School and Spencer Business College. She worked for Copolymer Rubber Co. and was also a U S Veteran of WWII serving in the US Army Women’s Army Corp. She previously lived in Lake Charles, LA and most recently in Moss Bluff. She loved watching sports, dancing, baking coconut and pecan pies and cooking for family and her church. She was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, served as Relief Society President for 15 years in Lake Charles and served two missions for the church. Most important in her life, was raising her children and serving other people and the church. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Edward C. Aucoin Sr.; children, Edward and Darline Aucoin of Moss Bluff, Anna and Dale Jenson of Olathe, KS, Gregory and Missy Aucoin of Moss Bluff and Clay and Susan Aucoin of American Fork, UT; sister, Evelyn Mayo of Baton Rouge; 23 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, children, Sondra Le-Roy and Stanley Aucoin; brothers Marvin Westbrook and Jim Westbrook; sister, Violet Bennett. Her funeral will be 2pm Friday, August 10, 2012 at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 4700 Sale Lane Lake Charles, LA. The Bishop Aaron Young will officiate. Visitation will begin Thursday, 5pm-8pm at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles and resume Friday 12 noon until service time at the church. Burial will be in Prien Memorial Park. Aunt Bea was an angel on earth and now she will be one in heaven with sondra and stanley I will remember her smile and her great personality. she made me laugh so much. her heart was made of gold. i wish i would have been able to see her again but i know she will be watching out for all her love ones in heaven. love always,violet
