Mrs. Dufrene was the principal at Henry Heights Elementary when I did my student teaching. She was always willing to listen to my concerns about students and was very generous in sharing her knowledge. So sorry for your loss.

Vera, Doug and I send our deepest sympathy to you and your family. We know how close you were to your mother and that you will miss her. You were a good and faithful daughter and I know you brought her much comfort. 

Mrs. Dufrene was my 4th grade teacher at FK White. She possibly had more positive influence on me than any other teacher. What a great educator and person she was. I have not seen her in 30+ years and am regretful that I never relayed to her what a great influence she was. Heaven gained a true asset.
