Candace Salsbury Doga

Candace was a devoted wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother and great-grandmother. She shared 53 years of marriage with her beloved husband, Bradley John Doga, before his passing in April 2025. Together, they built a life centered around their family, and Candace cherished the many years and memories they shared.

She will be remembered for her kind spirit and the way she always cared so deeply for others. She had a natural sense of empathy and could truly feel what others were going through. She was always there to listen, never judging, and somehow always knew when someone simply needed to be heard. She had a way of putting others before herself, often thinking about what someone else needed before thinking about her own. Her kindness, compassion, and selfless heart touched so many lives and are qualities that will be carried in the hearts of those who loved her.

Those left to cherish her memory are her three daughters, Shelly Doga, Holly Guillory (Joe), and Jamie Bult (Stephen); five grandchildren, Caden Doga, Nelson Gage Rodgers, Taylor Rodgers, Aidan Smith (Kambria), and Sydnie Cooley; two great-grandchildren, Aubrie Navarre and Sophia Navarre; along with a host of extended family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bradley John Doga; and granddaughter, Lexie Doga.

In honoring Candace's wishes, a graveside service will be held at the Southwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery Pavilion in Jennings, LA, on Friday, September 25, 2026, at 12:30pm. She will be laid to rest alongside her beloved husband.

A rosary will be held afterwards for those wishing to attend.

Candace will be remembered for the love she had for her family and the special place she held in the lives of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her memory will continue to live on through those who knew and loved her.
