Both are in heaven now...but still strong in our hearts and minds. Love you both til the end of time.

It's been a year...doesn't seem like it...she's with Pop now and she missed out on all the tragedies...Hurricane Laura and Delta, The freeze...the floods. She may be gone but she is very much alive in my thoughts and my heart. She gave me a wonderful childhood and also my love for music which I turned into a very successful career.  Miss you mom.

Donna was my childhood friend.  I would go over to their house to visit Donna. Mrs. Fontenot was amazing how she took care of all the kids. They always had dinner at the table like my family did.  She never allowed them to do without. She would make it happen. She was a spunky lady. I lost track of them after graduation from high school.  I was a nurse at LCMH when her husband was admitted. God rest his soul. They will be together again looking down on their children. The family is in my prayers.

I've always loved her and her spunk.  Even when we got our butts in trouble.  She would fuss at me as if I was her own.  Later in life she told me she actually thought of me as one of her's.  Her comment was "what the hell was one more?"  LOL    

My deepest sympathy to all the kids.

My heart is broken! There is so much I want to say but I cannot find the words.
 Maw Maw was funny and serious, quiet and loud, Old Milwaukee and Wild Turkey101! She was my favorite canasta partner and story teller. 
Walking  around the property to look at flowers and veggie gardens (she was PROUD of her tomatoes), she would just talk and talk and talk and I am so glad i got to experience that with her.  Those stories of past times will always live in my heart. 
I know she is with Paw Paw now and I hope she is still challenging him at Scrabble. 
I miss you more than you could ever know Maw Maw! 💕💕💕

My condolences to you all.  My heart is saddened by the news of your mom.  What an impact she had on me growing up.  Happy that after all these years that I still would get to talk to her about her insurance.  
I loved her.

Okay...Rhonda shared this pic, but she didn’t share the story behind it....I came here in March to take care of Mom so she wouldn’t have to go to a nursing home and I’ve been with her until she drew her last breath.  We kept every snack we thought she would eat on her tray.  I couldn’t stand the mess, so I put a container, (on the right) so it wouldn’t be so cluttered.   I caught her taking EVERYTHING out of the container and placing it back on the tray.  I asked her what she was doing and she simply replied , “I wanted to see what was in there”....


Sitting here thinking of the last 60 years of my momma and how determined she was to keep all 7 of together ..when we needed clothes  she made them.  when we need anything she made sure we had what we needed..we never went hungry or cold.  she gave us the gift of music and love of reading.  she made sure if we needed medical or dental  care she made sure we had it.  she even gave a an awesome daddy....i am glad she is at peace.  tomorrow we will lay her to rest. she will be up with daddy again
