Carroll Vincent Dewees

First Sergeant (retired, U.S. Army) Carroll Dewees AKA "Bud", "Buddy" born August 8, 1936 passed away Sunday, July 29, 2018.
Bud proudly served his country for over 20 years, serving active duty for two tours in Korea and three tours in Vietnam. He was a true patriot and remained close friends with his Army buddies that he considered family. Bud was a member of American Legion Post 1 of Lake Charles. He was very outspoken, writing numerous articles to the Editor of the American Press.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 35 years, Francoise Dewees; sons, Mike Dewees (Maria) of Kinder and Jared Dewees (Hollie) of Elton; daughters, Danielle Chretien (Larry) of Elton and Honera Dewees of Reeves; sister, Kay Stelly (Jimmy) of Grosse Tete; and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Wiltz Dewees Collins; two sisters, Mona Fritzgerald and Rose Johnston; daughter, Dara Dewees and three grandchildren, Aaron Chretien, Katrina Dewees and Ryan Geho.
