Channing Miguel Montgomery

The relatives and friends of Channing Miguel Montgomery, 38, are invited to attend a Memorial Service to be held on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 7pm at Hixson Funeral Home on 3001 Ryan Street in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Visitation will be from 6pm until 9pm. Channing passed away on October 22, 2013 in Houston, Texas. Channing’s wishes were for his remains to be cremated.

Channing was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana on January 20, 1975 to Leward and Rose Landor Montgomery. Channing was a graduate of Sulphur High School and attended Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond and University of Southwestern Louisiana (now University of Louisiana at Lafayette). He was also a veteran of the United States Army National Guard.

Channing lived in Houston, Texas since 2002 and worked at Dril-Quip, Inc. Channing loved music, computers and most of all, sports.

Survivors include his father Leward Montgomery; stepmother Celine Montgomery; sister Candice Montgomery Pankey; stepsister Camille Humphrey; brother-in-law Christopher Pankey; niece Cailyn Rose Pankey and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his mother Rose Landor Montgomery.
