

Lake Charles - Clifford Paul Humphery, 83, passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2014 in a local hospital.
He was a native of Iowa, LA and a lifelong resident of Moss Bluff, LA where he was a member of St. Theodore Catholic Church. He served in the United States National Guard during the Korean War and he was also a member of the CFMA-Cajun French Music Association and the Southeast Texas Bluegrass Music Association. He retired from Hebert Bros. Lumber Company as a Yard Manager after 41 years and retired from Sandhill Lumber Company after 10 1/2 years in sales. He loved camping and garage sales.
He is survived by his sons, John "Butch" Humphery and wife Faye of LeBleu Settlement and Charles "Buddy" Humphery and wife Bobbie of Toledo Bend; three grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Inez Miller Humphery and grandson, Jon Michael Humphery.
His service will be 11:00am, Thursday, March 13, 2014 at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Msgr. Charles Dubois will officiate. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00pm until 9:00pm with a rosary at 6:00pm and resume Thursday 8:00am until time of service. Burial will be in LaFranc Cemetery.
