Corinne Janet Griggs, age 94, of Lake Charles, Louisiana passed away on Monday, February 26, 2024. She was born September 03, 1929 in Oklahoma City, OK to William and Mary Jackson.

Corinne was an avid gardener, was a member of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association, Petroleum Wives Club and the SWLA PC Users Group.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Stuart Griggs of Lake Charles; four grandchildren, Brian Griggs, Travis Griggs and wife Sarah, Cheryl Koskie and husband Billy and Janet Britton and husband Jonathon; 11 great grandchildren; and six great great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Buford "Tom" Griggs; son, Ron Griggs; daughter, Pamela Griggs; brother, Eugene Jackson; and sister, Thava Mae Jackson.

The family will welcome relatives and friends on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Visitation will resume at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, March 8, 2024 with a funeral service to begin at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Consolata Cemetery.
