DaLonna Ann Saloom

DaLonna was a Jokester, she really enjoyed playing tricks, joking around with her family and nagging her best friend William Friar. She was so well known of being a jokester that her family would play jokes on her as well. Her favorite pastime was playing BINGO!, going to the casino and making wooden crosses. But most of all, she treasured time spent with her grandchildren. They were her world and she will be missed by them immensely.

DaLonna is preceded in death by her father, Salime Patrick Saloom.

Those left to cherish her memory include her mother; spouse, Wilfred Bertrand; sons, Jonathan Friar and wife Amanda Benoit of Hayes, LA, Nicholas of San Antonio, TX; daughters, Julie Gumbs and Husband Neal, Amber Fontenot and husband Ben all of San Antonio, TX; five grandchildren, Lacey Friar, Terrence Graham, Emily Friar, Ty Bourque, and Mykalah Harnage; four brothers and five sisters; best friend William Friar and her loving dog Bella.

A visitation for DaLonna will be held Thursday, March 25, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles, 3001 Ryan St., Lake Charles, Louisiana. Visitation resumes Friday, March 26, 2021 from 10:00 AM till time of service. DaLonna's funeral service will occur Friday, March 26, 2021 at 1:00 PM at the funeral home, led by Celebrant Jody Barrilleaux. Burial to follow Friday, March 26, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Bigwood's Cemetery, in Edgerly, Louisiana.
