Darald was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles where he was a parishioner of St. Margaret's Catholic Church and was very strong in his faith. He was Owner and Operator of Doga Trucking exclusively for R.E. Heidt for over 50 years. Darald was an avid golfer, enjoyed camping, coaching youth baseball, watching LSU and a die hard Saints fan. Spending time with his family was one of his greatest joys as well as BBQing for their many get togethers.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 65 years, Jackie Fontenot Doga, children, Christy Doga (Troy), Darald "Bubba" Doga (Dawna), Lisa Waddell (Keith) and Brian Doga (Melissa); grandchildren, Kimber Bennett (Wes), Kamin Farrell (Blake), Denee' Klumpp (Josh), Michael McCauley (Lindsey), Deveni Polito (Joseph), Tylor Quebedeaux, Kenny Waddell (Jada), Darian Doga, Makena Doga, Taylor Doga and D.J. Doga; great grandchildren, Braden, Peyton, Karsyn, Bree, Corbin, Logan, Gia, Camille and one on the way; brother, Bradley Doga (Candy); sister, Jocelyn Dailey (Daven). He is also survived by his fur baby, Belle
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Merwayn Doga.
The family will welcome relatives and friends at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 6:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at the funeral home at 8:00 a.m. until the time of service. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home led by Celebrant Jody Barrilleaux. Burial will be immediately following at Prien Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be D.J. Doga, Wes Bennett, Michael McCauley, Josh Oustalet, Blake Farrell, Joseph Polito and Kenny Waddell.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Dennis Primeaux, Larry Fontenot and Ronald Sweeney.
