David Fontenot

He was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel. He was a loving father, brother, and grandfather who was very compassionate, loved fishing, hunting, telling jokes and being a comedian.

He is survived by his son, David Wayne Fontenot, Jr.; brothers, Forrest Fontenot, Jr., Lelbay Joseph Fontenot, Larry James Fontenot; sisters, Priscilla Jane Langley, Betty Jean Villarreal and one grandson, Hayden Fontenot. He is preceded in death by his parents Forrest Fontenot, Sr. and Audrey Mae Cradure.

Pallbearers are, Forrest Fontenot, Jr., Lelbay J. Fontenot, Joshua Conner, Thomas Villarreal, Larry J. Fontenot, Johnny Giovanni and Bruno F. Corley.

Services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, August, 24, 2012 at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Rev. Alan Trouille will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. and resume Friday from 8:00 a.m. until service. Interment will follow at Big Woods Cemetery.
