Dewey spent most of his life in Louisiana and Alabama, residing in Moss Bluff for the past 19 years. He was a dedicated employee of Hixson Funeral Home for 27 years, a role he took great pride in and approached with unwavering commitment. In his free time, Dewey cherished fishing trips with his son, Ricky, and his brother, Steve.
He is survived by his son, Ricky Patrick and wife Theresa; grandchildren, Patricia Patrick, Rebeka Landry and husband Jeremiah, Cody Johnston, and Nikki Johnston; great grandchildren, Todd and David Landry and Oryn Thorpe; and brother, Stephen Patrick.
Dewey is preceded in death by his parents, Henry "Buddy" Patrick and Annie Pearl Patrick; wife, Patricia S. Patrick; daughter, Deborah Johnston; and one sister.
The family will welcome relatives and friends at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles on Friday, January 16, 2026 beginning at 9:00 a.m. A Celebration of Life will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be immediately following at Highland Memory Gardens.
