Doreen M McGee

Doreen was a member of the Lake Charles Duplicate Bridge Club. She was an avid bridge player, who played for many years with her own club and other private clubs. She loved to play Mahjong and was very active in the things she loved to do. She was a member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. She was loving, generous, and a devoted caretaker who took care of her husband and family. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish her memories are her three sons, Osey "Skip" McGee Jr. and wife, Evelyn of Lake Charles, LA, Gordon J. Dooley and wife, Lavine of Houston, TX, and Kevin F. Dooley of Culpepper, VA; ten grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her first husband, Forest Eugene Dooley and her second husband, Osey McGee Sr.; her parents, Fred and Agnes Bundgay; one daughter, Beverly J. Deroven; one brother, Freddie Bundgay and one sister, Mabel Gladys Sharp.

A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11:30 Tuesday, December 3, in Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Father John Huckaby will officiate. Visitation is from 5-9pm Monday with a rosary at 6:30pm and will resume 9am until service time Tuesday at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Burial will be in Prien Memorial Park. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com. Memorials may be made to St. Vincent DePaul Society at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church to assist the poor.
