OBITUARY

Dorothy Aline Fountain

October 23, 1923February 4, 2013

The very sweet and gentle spirit of our mother, Dorothy Aline Fountain, left us on Monday, February 4, 2013. Mom took the hand of God and entered the gates of heaven. Mom was born in a farmhouse in Gil, Texas on October 23, 1922. She was raised in Marshall, Texas. She moved to Lake Charles in the early 1950s. She became an active member of First Baptist Church. She worked for Sears Roebuck for many years and she volunteered as a pink lady at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital. Mom’s life was one of kindness, strength and gentle humor. Her strong faith and caring soul touched many people. Her chicken and dumplings were out of this world! She will be truly missed by her family and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ollie J. Fountain; two sisters, Louise McJimpsey of Marshall, TX and Nona Money of Gladewater, TX; and dear grandson, Jacob Joseph Fountain. She leaves to cherish her precious memory her three children, Ollie J. Fountain of Alexandria, LA, William “Bubba” Fountain and wife, Pam of Lake Charles and Debby Brown and husband, “Bill” William of Houston, TX. She also leaves behind two extraordinary grandsons, Joshua Charles Fountain and Eric Robert Brown and a beautiful great granddaughter, Reagan Jo Brown. Mom’s services will be 11am, Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Dr. John White will officiate. Visitation will begin Tuesday 5pm-8pm and resume Wednesday 8am until service time. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens. Those of us who knew Mom were truly blessed. The world is a better place for her having lived in it. She left everyone she touched the better for knowing her. Her spirit will always be with us and her love will forever live in our hearts. Rest in peace Mom, until we meet again, we will miss you dearly. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at wwwhixsonfuneralhomes.com.

It was with a great sadness to hear of Aunt Dot's passing. She was such a great part of my life when I was growing up. She and Uncle Ollie made sure that I felt loved and a part of their family. I rejoice knowing that I will see her again in Heaven. I know you children will miss her terribly.
