Ethel Mae Tradewell

Ethel Mae Tradewell, 88, of Lake Charles passed away February 18, 2016. Ethel was born to Amos and Ernestine LeDoux in Hayes, Louisiana. She enjoyed ironing, baking, spending time with family and friends, and loved nature’s beauty. She loved making fruit cakes and especially loved to bake cookies for her grandchildren.

Ethel is survived by son Dan Tradewell of Sweetlake, La., daughter Golden M. Tradewell of Lake Charles, La., grandchildren Eric, Brent, Terrance Tradewell, Kimberly Kroemeke, Aaron Soileau, great- grandchildren Alexa, Olivia, Bray, Emma, Brice, Braden, Breelyn, and sister Katherine Benoit of Ragley, La.

She is preceded in death by husband, William Henry Tradewell, parents, Amos and Ernestine LeDoux, brother, Ronald J. LeDoux, and great-grandson, Gavin Tradewell.

Funeral service will be held at Our Lady of Good Counsel on Monday, February 22, 2016 at 10:00am with a burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens. Father Nathan Long will officiate. A visitation will be held Saturday February 20, 2016 from 10am to 2pm, resume on Sunday February 21, 2016 from 3pm to 7pm with a rosary at 6pm, all held at Hixson Funeral Home in Lake Charles, Louisiana. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be sent to Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church located at 221 Aqua Dr., Lake Charles, LA 70605.
