Ferrell Solano Sr., born in St. Augustine FL to John Anthony Solano and Nellie Solano on January 25, 1933, he passed away April 5, 2025.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Nell Solano; son, Ferrell Solano Jr. (Jeane); daughter, Cherie McQuaig; grandsons, Trace McQuaig (Alicia), Chris Packwood (Carmen); and granddaughter, Hope Solano. He also has four sisters in St. Augustine FL, Catherine Tucker, Lynell Stone Burner, Betty Nanny, Eunice Danielson, and 15 Great Grandchildren, and one Great, Great, Grandson

He is preceded in death by his son, Tracy Solano; father, John Anthony Solano; mother, Nellie Solano; brother, Lloyd Solano; sister, Vivian Smith; a grandson, Anthony Solano; and a granddaughter, Chelsea McQuaig.

The family will welcome relatives and friends at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles on Friday, April 11, 2025 beginning at 11:00 a.m. with a funeral service to begin at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Consolata Cemetery. Deacon Pousson with St. Margaret Catholic Church will officiate at the services.
