Fletcher Pierson

Fletcher was born to parents Marcus Andrew Pierson Jr., MD and Gladys Daily Pierson on October 20, 1946, in Lake Charles, LA.

Fletcher was an avid lover and player of Bridge and Canasta, as well as traveling to Europe and nationwide. She also loved to read and was a member of several book clubs. In true Louisiana fashion, she was once Queen of Krewe de Contraband.

When Fletcher was not traveling throughout the World or celebrating parts of Southern Culture, she was a social worker through the school board, as well as a Sunday school teacher.

Fletcher is welcomed into Heaven by her parents; and her sister, Gail Pierson Blalock.

She leaves behind her brother, Marcus Andrew "Andy" Pierson III (Caroline); nephews, Marshall Andrew "Drew" Pierson, Thomas Daniel Blalock Jr. (Courtney), Marcus Elam Blalock (Tricia), and a host of great-nieces and nephews.

The family requests visiting hours be observed at Hixson Funeral Home in the Chapel of the Lilies on Friday, July 31, 2026, from 10:00AM until the time of service at 12:00PM.

A private burial will follow at Prien Memorial Park in Lake Charles, LA.
