Georgia Helen Bondick

Georgia Helen Bondick, 82, passed away on Friday, December 30, 2016 at Grand Cove Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Mamou, LA. on June 6, 1934 to Tenais and Vernice Bondick who are deceased. Also, she was preceded in death by the father of her children Jesse L. Richard; brother, Joseph Silton and Katherine Bondick. She was a longtime resident of Lake Charles, having moved here in 1952 raising eight children. She was a longtime member of St. Margaret Catholic Church and most recently joined St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church. When she was in her 50s she received her GED and then went to Delta Tech, where she graduated as an Office Specialist in 1986.

She is survived by her son, Jaime Richard and wife CeCe of Moss Bluff; seven daugthers, Jessica Benoit and husband David of LeBleu Settlement, Roxeanna Guillory of Sulphur, Zelda Chesson of Westlake, Rosalind Richard of Lake Charles, Vanessa Richard of Lake Charles, Maura Cassia and husband Tim of Lake Charles, Jeanne Arville and late husband Curtis Arville, Sr. of LeBleu Settlement, along with 30 grandchildren, 71 great grandchildren, and 20 great great grandchildren.

Services will be held at 3:00pm on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles with Monsignor Jace Eskind officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 2, 2017 from 5:00-9:00pm at Hixson Funeral Home with a Cursillo Rosary at 6:30pm. Burial will follow at Prien Memorial Park Cemetery.
