Gerald "Jay" Lynn Broussard

Gerald graduated from Marion High School Class of 1960. He was retired from Vista Chemical as a pipefitter. His favorite pastime and hobby was rebuilding old cars.

He is survived by his daughter, Roxie Bacarisse,(Chip) of Lake Charles; son, Paul Broussard of Weslake; grandchildren, Nikki Higginbotham, Kenzlei Miller, Kye and Bailey Broussard; great grandchildren, Luke Dugas and Sophia Broussard; one sister, Beverly Jonas, (Ed) of Houston; niece, Sharon Beamon, (Barry) of Houston; great nephews, Cody and Travis of Houston; Long time friend Susan Roosa and her son Robert, (Shalonda); grandchildren, Kavin, Jala, Jalan Roosa and Skira Dupre.

Mr. Broussard is preceded by his mother, Laura Broussard; grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Duplantis.

The family would like to thank Heart of Hospice nurses and aides for the care and comfort they provided him. And a special thank you to Jim Ingram for always being there for his special needs.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles from 11am until 12:30pm.

Services will be held at 12:30pm. Burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens in Lake Charles.
