Harry James Johnson Sr.

He was born in Whiteville, LA to Ivory Sr. and Pearl (Barnes) Johnson, and lived in Lake Charles all of his life. Harry loved to watch football and basketball and frequented the local casinos on a regular basis. He had a talent for drawing and wood working and was a cook at the Antoines famous restaurant in New Orleans.

He is survived by his wife of 44years, Jacqueline; son, Harry Jr. and wife, Shaquella Lewis of Lake Charles; daughters, Stacy Danette (Gerald) Reado of Fort Worth, TX and Alexandra (Dorian) Brooks of Lake Charles; brother, Floyd Johnson of Las Vegas, NV; sisters, Rose Mary (Alton) Guidry, Shirley Jean, Alice Barnes and Norma Smith all of Lake Charles; grandchildren; Ashleigh Johnson Reado, Gerald Reado Jr., Raelynn, Dylan, Austin and Raegan Brooks, Michael and Latrelle Lavergne; great grandchildren, Kaiden Reado, Aubree Reado Hammon; sister-in-law, Deborah Collins; mother-in-law, Geraldine Fobbs ; surrogate daughter, Tamara Albro St. Cyr; surrogate son, Darryl Johnson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ivory Jr., Arthur, Bernell, Richard, Calvin, Willard, James, Arthur and sister, Lois Jones.

His Home Going Memorial Service will be 12pm, Saturday, August 3, 2013 at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Pastor Ronald Simien and Assistant Pastor Carey Simien will officiate. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com.
