Horace Lee Johnson Sr.

He was born in LeBleu Settlement, lived in Iowa prior to moving to Bundicks Lake. He served 3 years in the U.S. Army as a Sergeant and Tank Commander, and worked as a Glazier for 40 years. He also worked as a custodian for East Beauregard High School in Dry Creek for the last 10 years. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife, Bettie Ann (Miller) Johnson of Bundicks Lake; sons, Horace (Bubba) Johnson Jr. of Bundicks Lake, Kirk Johnson and wife, Rhonda of Iowa; daughter, Kimberly Ann Wilson and husband, Michael of Willow Wood, OH; brother, Miguel Johnson of LeBleu Settlement; sister, Barbara Ann Young of LeBleu Settlement as well as 8 grandchildren, Clarissa Rougeaux, Jessica Reeves, Jeremy Cooper, Amirea Hydel, Claire Johnson, Caleb Johnson, Trevor Allen and Troy Allen and 14 great grandchildren, Lacey and Talon Rougeaux, Zack Simpson, Raven, Hunter, Johnny, David, Emily, Brianna and Drake Cooper, Madison, Paton, Jace and Kaiden.

His funeral will be 10 a.m. Thursday, August 4, 2011 at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Rev. Andreas Kadati will officiate. Burial will be in Lacassine Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-9 p.m. Wednesday with rosary being prayed at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will resume Thursday morning at 8 a.m.
