Hubern Ray Doxey Sr., 62, of Cameron, LA. Passed away on October 11, 2019.

Hubern was born on May 1, 1957 to Ulrick and Edna Doxey. He was a native and lifelong resident of Cameron, LA and a member of the Baptist faith. Hubern retired as a commercial Fisherman.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son Mr. Hubern “lil huba” Doxey and his wife Kay of Creole, LA., daughters Krista Doxey and spouse Kenneth of Cameron, LA. and Lila Doxey of Arkansas, brothers Clyde Doxey and wife Leola of Creole, LA., Steven Doxey of Cameron, LA., Robert “Seabob” Doxey of Creole, LA., and seven grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday October 17, 2019 from 3pm-9pm at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Visitation will resume on Friday October 18, 2019 from 8am till time of service. Funeral Services will be held at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles on Friday October 18, 2019 at 10am. Rev. Steven Spurlock will be officiating. Burial will follow at First Baptist Cemetery in Cameron, LA. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com

Huba was a real friend, if you knew him, you know what I mean. He was always ready to help anyone, any time, you did not have to ask! He could fix anything or make it work somehow! Lol, because he would want us to!
