James Richard Everage

(1949-2016)

James Everage, 67, passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at his residence. He had lived in the Lake Charles area since 1957 and was a parishioner at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church here in Lake Charles. He enjoyed fishing and golfing, but most importantly spending time with his loving family.

James is survived by his wife, Patricia Everage whom he loved dearly. He leaves behind his two children, “Richie” Everage and wife Allison of Lake Charles and Amanda Eastman and husband Mike of Jupiter, FL; brother, Robert Everage and wife Susie of Iowa, LA; two sisters, Carolyn Edwards and husband Gordon of Iowa, LA and Wanda Gonzales of Houston, TX. He also leaves behind his three precious grandchildren, Ian Everage, Anya Everage, and Malia Everage, his father, Ernest Everage and wife Judy of Moss Bluff.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Della Mae Everage, nephews, Jason and Mark, along with Baby Eddie and mother-in-law, Dorothy Kent.

His funeral will be held at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at 10:30am. Monsignor James Gaddy will officiate. Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 from 4:00pm-8:00pm with a Cursillo Rosary at 6:30pm at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles and will resume on Thursday from 9:00am until the procession to the church. Burial will be at Prien Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Our Lady Queen of Heaven or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
