Jami Lynn Veillon

Jamie Lynn Veillon died unexpectedly at home on January 12, 2017 in Lake Charles, LA at the age of 40. Jamie was born on May 20, 1976 in Lake Charles, LA to James Veillon and Bobbie McGoldrick. She graduated from Carencro High School in 1995. She married Gentry Laper, her high school sweetheart, and had their daughter McKinzi. She later married John Cooley and had their two daughters; Whitney and Jewell.

Jamie is survived by her three daughters; McKinzi Laper, Whitney Cooley and Jewell Cooley, her mother; Bobbie McGoldrick Pisauro and step-father Dan Pisauro, her father; James Leonard Veillon and step-mother Trudy Lodge Veillon, brothers; Chad Credeur (Helen Horst), James Vellion Jr., sister; Stacy Veillon, adopted brother; Trent McGoldrick, adopted sister; Taylor McGoldrick, lifelong friend “sister”; Jennifer Towne Romero, nieces and nephews; Kylor (Abigail) Veillon, Ko’en Veillon, Kei’lyn Trahan, Rei’leigh Trahan, Rei’dynn Veillon, Ahna’lynne Veillon, Bronson Credeur, Asia Credeur, Bailey Credeur, Aubrie Quibodeaux and Sloane Romero, great nephews; Mason and Rylan Veillon.

Jamie is preceded in death by her grandparents; Bob and Nell McGoldrick and Effray and Nora Veillon.

The family would like to thank everyone for their loving and generous support during this very difficult time. Jamie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation to be held Tuesday, January 17, 2017 from 4-9:00 pm resuming Wednesday at 10:00 am until time of service at 11:11 am (yes, we said 11:11 ) all at Community Christian Church, 2627 Hodges St., Lake Charles, LA 70601.
