On Monday, December 8, 2020, Jane Ann Jinks Williams passed away peacefully in Lake Charles, Louisiana, where she was a lifelong resident. She was the daughter of Mary Jane and Norman S. Jinks, Sr. and a graduate of the Class of 1958 at LaGrange High School. On June 4, 1960, she married the love of her life Philip Gregg Williams, Jr. and recently celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary. Upon graduation, Jane Ann worked as a dental assistant for C. Richmond Corley, DDS, then worked for the body shop on Kirkman Street for many years, and the last 35 years in the mental health profession and loved her coworkers like family. If you had the pleasure of knowing our beloved mother, you fell in love with her. She had more patience than most, loved with her entire heart, and would make you a meal that would provide memories to last a lifetime. She hosted most holidays in her home and made the best Cornbread Dressing, Chicken and Dumplings and Carrot Cake! She had a green thumb and loved being outside with her flowers and plants. She was a member of Heritage Baptist Church where she enjoyed weekly gatherings with her friends and loved every Sunday worship service!
Her family was her greatest treasure. Jane is survived by her son, Philip Gregg Williams, III, daughter, Kellee Jane Williams Louviere and husband, Mark, granddaughter, Kristin Elizabeth Louviere and grandson, Ryan Joseph Louviere. She is also survived by her brother, Norman S. Jinks, Jr., her sisters, Lillian Phillips and Norma May, numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved as her own.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Jane and Norman S. Jinks, Sr. and her husband, Philip Gregg Williams, Jr.
Services will be under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home in Lake Charles, on Saturday, December 12, 2020, at 11:00 – 12:00 for family under the Governor’s Orders but extended family and friends are welcome to pay their respects to Jane Ann by driving through at graveside at Highland Memory Gardens around 1:00 pm.
