Janice Marie Dupont

She was born to parents C.D. and Mary Pugh on February 6, 1962 in Orange, TX. She enjoyed crocheting, shopping, watching and spoiling her grandchildren, sewing, and loved teaching her students down through the years.

She is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Joe Dupont; three sons, Kory Clay and wife Shelby of Katy, TX, Christopher Dupont and wife Katie of Grand Lake, Dane Dupont of Grand Lake; one daughter, Marissa Dupont of Grand Lake; her mother, Mary “Louise” Pugh; four brothers, Michael Pugh of Lafayette, Edward Pugh of Bridge City, TX, Charles Pugh and wife Deanna of Lake Charles, Donald Pugh and wife Wardella of Cameron, LA; one sister, Paula McConnell and husband Dennis of Humble, TX; five grandchildren, Karlie, Addyson, Dylan, Kate, and Jackson; along with many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her father, C.D. Pugh.

Services will be held at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at 12:00pm with Reverend Monsignor James M. Gaddy officiating. Visitation will be at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 from 4:00-9:00pm with a Rosary at 6:00pm. Visitation will resume on Thursday, from 10:00am until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Creole.
