Obituary of Jeanette S Medicis

Jeanette Sonnier Medicis, age 91, of Lake Charles, Louisiana passed away on Friday, May 31, 2024. She was born August 16, 1932 in Estherwood, LA to Ephrol Sonnier and Alda Peloquin Sonnier.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Gary Medicis and wife Amelia and Lynn Medicis and wife Heather; grandchildren, Jessica Guillory and husband Kyle, Kyle Medicis and wife Kim, Kimberly Medicis and Katie Medicis; and great grandchildren, Caiden Fontenot, Kason and Kylin Guillory, and Kash, Kyler and Kase Medicis.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Medicis; son, Dale Medicis; brothers, Harry Sonnier and Henry Sonnier; and sister, Una Mae Sonnier.

The family will welcome relatives and friends at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 6:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 beginning at 8:00 a.m. with a funeral service to begin at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Consolata Cemetery.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Kinder Retirement staff, Brighton Bridge Hospice and her roomate, Ms. Margie.
