

He was born in San Francisco, CA and was a resident of Lake Charles. Jerry was an operator at Citgo for 42 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church for 31 years, where he served as a Deacon. Jerry was a member of Ducks Unlimited and the Lake Charles Gun Club. He was an avid duck hunter loading his own shells. Jerry trained dogs and enjoyed carving duck decoys and building pirogues. He loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Ella “Lori” McCullough Couvillion of Lake Charles; sons, Jamie Couvillion and wife, Miguele of Biloxi, MS, Cole Couvillion and wife, Alicia of Moss Bluff and Corey Couvillion and wife, Alex of Webster, TX; step-daughters, Liza Coe and husband, Mitchell and Sarah Scott all of Lake Charles; brothers, Jeff Couvillion and wife, Alicia of Carlyss and Mark Couvillion and wife, Jennifer of Lake Charles; sisters, Cheryl Couvillion Crawford of Houston, TX, Linda Bimle of Carlyss and Kathleen Wilson and husband Rev. Scott Wilson of N. Little Rock, AR; aunt, Sadie Kinney of Carlyss; and grandchildren, Ava, Isabella, Anna, Sailor, Packer and Marley. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerome Couvillion and Lucille Young; and brothers, Keith Couvillion and Kevin Couvillion.
His visitation will be Friday, January 22, 2016 from 9 am until service time at 10am at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gideons International or Ducks Unlimited.
