For 51 years, Jerry proudly owned and operated Jerry’s Body Shop, where his skill, dedication, and love for working with his hands were evident in all that he did. A talented and creative man, Jerry had a passion for many forms of art, especially working with wood and metal, and he could often be found creating something with his hands.
Among Jerry’s greatest joys were camping and McNeese tailgating, where he treasured spending time with family and friends and making lasting memories. Those who had the privilege of knowing Jerry will remember him for his kind and generous heart. He never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand or, quite literally, give someone the shirt off his back. Jerry’s warmth, generosity, and friendly spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Pam Mallet Gott; his sons, Randy Mallet (Denise), and Jim Mallet (Evella); brother, Carl Mallet; 7 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John W. Mallet and Joyce Marie Lavergne Mallet; wife; Brenda Mallet; brothers, Charles Mallet and Jack Mallet.
