He is survived by his father, Hilton David; step-mother, Judy David; siblings, Henry David (Karla) and Carmalite Miles; along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty David; paternal grandparents, Oscar and Isabel David; and maternal grandparents, Otho Langley and Olive Qualls.
Joseph was a native of Lake Charles and graduated from Lake Charles High School. After graduating he became a Master Carpenter and cabinet maker. He was generous with his talents by making keepsakes for his family that they could treasure.
He will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery in Jennings, LA on Friday, November 6, 2026 at 11:45AM.
