Joseph Johnson

Mr. Johnson was a native of Elton, LA. and he lived in Lake Charles, LA. He was a member of the Catholic Faith and worked as a carpenter in construction. Mr. Johnson served as a U.S. Marine Sgt. during the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and most of all working in his garden. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife, Agnes Johnson of Lake Charles, LA; sons, James Johnson and wife Tish of Dallas, TX, David Johnson of Lake Charles, LA, and Dwayne Johnson and wife Amy of Lake Charles, LA; daughter, Karen Johnson of Lake Charles, LA. He is predeceased by his grandson, Dustin Cole Johnson.

His funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, October 17, 2011 at Hixson Funeral Home in Lake Charles, LA. Monsignor Charles Dubois will officiate. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, October 16, 2011 and will continue Monday at 8 a.m. until time of service at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. A rosary will be prayed at 6 p.m. Sunday.
