Joshua Lee Melton Sr., age 35, of Westlake, Louisiana passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2022. He was born May 20, 1987 in San Lorenzo, California and a resident of Westlake, La.

Joshua previously attended Westlake High School and was a member of the Baptist faith. He was formerly employed by Dunham Price and worked as a laborer in the construction industry. Joshua enjoyed doing DJ jobs with his step-dad, fishing, hunting, music, reading, art, helping people and spending time with his son and family.

He is preceded in death by his Sister, Lucinda Melton and a Step-Brother, Ralston Fontenot.

Joshua is survived by his Father, John H. Melton Jr. and his wife Michelle of Iowa, La., Mother, Susan Melton Fontenot and husband Maurice of Westlake, La., Son, Joshua Lee Melton, Jr. of Sulphur, La., Brothers, John H. Melton III of Ragley, La. and Richard Melton of Colorado, Sister, Chantel Thomason of Westlake, La. and several Nieces and Nephews.

The family will receive friends on September 6, 2022 at 5:00 PM. Memorial Services will follow at 6:00 PM in Hixson's Chapel of Peace in Lake Charles. Hixson Celebrant Jody Barrilleaux will officiate. Cremation was entrusted to Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles.
