Who would believe it’s been eight years since you left us? My, how the years have passed! We now have eleven great grandchildren. And all our kids are in their sixties. Yep, time is passing by.

Hi Daddy,

I just came by here today to write, I guess, 
what I know you already hear from my heart,
when I have questions, and why’s and wonders, when we talk.

I still have your photo “temporarily” pinned to the fridge,
I think it has become permanently “temporarily” in its place of honor,
As it comforts me when I am alone, 
knowing you are just in another room in the home.

I had the best visit from Granny the other day,
Oh the giggles and laughs we both made,
I know you must have heard us as we carried on,
I was laughing for hours after she had gone.

Talk to you later Daddy like I always do,
I still have lots of questions, why’s and wonders too,
And I think you look forward to my company too.

Peace

It's been almost 2 years and there are days when it seems like only yesterday that you started your eternity with our Lord Jesus. I miss you and wait patiently as I  wait for the day when we will be united in heaven forever. You would be so proud  of how well our kids and grandkids are doing. With  a love that never end, Rosanne

I have great comfort in the remembrance of who you are; in the fond memories I have of your gentleness, kindness and great ability to love unconditionally. 

I genuinely remember the perfect gentleman you are, perhaps something learned from the time period you grew up in; or perhaps, I like to think, the good manners you were taught by our joyful and loving Granny.

There are innumerable, wonderful memories I have, too many to count . . . you gently conveyed to me when I was 6 or 7 years old that my dog was asleep in the backyard when I couldn't wake him up; you spontaneously took me on a motorcycle ride at my simple request one Saturday morning; and the many months you lived with us your lovingkindness and laughter always brighten up our days.

Of all the things I know for sure, 
We shall meet again,
You are just beyond a veil,
Where all of life began.
You gently taught me many things,
That others will never hear.
Daddy, you are my HERO,
And so shall you ever be.
