Larmae Mary Miller

Larmae Richard Miller, 78, passed away on February 3, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family Larmae was born on August 16, 1934, to Dudley Gabriel Richard and Lois Josephine Nunez in Creole, LA. She met Linford Joseph Miller, the love of her life and they married on October 27, 1951. They were married 61 years. Larmae and Linford raised their family in Creole, LA until Hurricane Rita and Ike destroyed their home, they then moved to Grand Lake, LA.

Mrs. Miller was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and also Christ the King Chapel. Her love and devotion to Blessed Mother was undeniable.

Mrs. Miller was a member of the Woodman of the World, Farm Bureau, Court Mary Olive Catholic Daughters of America and the Creole Homemakers Club.

She had a love for cooking, baking and entertaining for family and friends at her home. She was a caregiver to many.

Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were her pride and joy. She loved them with all of her heart.

Those left to cherish her memories are her children, Troy Anthony (Tara) Miller all of Creole, Debra Miller and Karl Joseph (Lana) Miller all of Grand Lake; grandchildren, Karl Jr., Kaleb, Ashlyn and Megan Miller all of Grand Lake, Kaysha Miller, Blake (Brittany) and Brennan Norred of Lake Charles, Blayne Miller of Creole; great grandchildren, Tanner, Konnor and Mia Norred all of Lake Charles; brothers, Billy (Debra) Richard of Lake Charles and Terry (Joyce) Richard of Indian Village; numerous nieces, nephews and God children.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Geneva Conner and one brother, AB Richard.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 3pm, Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The Rev. Tim Goodly will officiate. Visitation will begin Tuesday 10am-9pm at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles with a rosary at 6pm and resume 8am until service time. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery. The Lector is DeLisa LaLande. The Gift Bearers are Harry “Geno” and Myrna Conner. The Choir will be the Sacred Heart Choir. Pallbearers will be Ben Barnett, Byron Broussard, Jordan Richard, Logan Broussard, Jess Broussard and Rodney Richard. Honorary Pallbearers will be her grandchildren and her brothers.
