Larry James Fontenot

Larry served as a door greeter with Academy and Walmart, the dedication and love of his job was often seen in his smile as he greeted every incoming customer. In his spare time he enjoyed spending time with animals, playing pool and playing his accordion.

Those left to cherish his memory are five brothers, Beau (Joycelyn Marie) Fontenot of Lake Charles; Jay Boy (Joan) Fontenot of Baton Rouge; Ernie, Paul & John Cradure; seven sisters; Betty (Danny) Villarreal of Midland, TX; Priscilla Jane Langley of Westlake, LA; Kathie Pickett, Barbara Soileau, Susie Langley, Monica Jenkins, and Joan Comeaux along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother; David Wayne Fontenot Sr.; nephew, David Wayne Fontenot Jr.

Visitation Will be on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 beginning at 5 p.m. with a Rosary at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will resume the following day from 8 a. m. until time of service. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at St. John Bosco Catholic Church of Westlake, LA at 10 a.m., burial to follow at Big Woods Cemetery in Edgerly, LA.
