Lawrence "Larry" Bergeron Jr.

Lawrence "Larry" Bergeron, 83, of Longville, LA. passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2022 in Lake Charles, LA. He was born to his late parents, Lawrence Sr. and Goldie Bergeron on November 10, 1938 in New Orleans, LA.

Larry served in the United States He was a Taxi Driver for New Orleans for 63 years, and worked last for Yellow Cab. Some of his hobbies included: gambling, parties, watching tv, and most of all loved spending time with his family.

Larry is survived by his daughter, Sheila Trahan (Albert) of Longville, LA; brother, Paul Allen Bergeron of Norco, LA; sister, Linda Marie Bergeron of LaPlace, LA; grandchildren, Lujean Kurt Bergeron, Sr. of Longville, LA, Bernice Mae Toups (Britiny) of Parksburg, WV; great grandchildren, Melissa Goldie Marie Toups Sumpter (Alex Sr.) of Sulphur, LA, Lujean Kurt Bergeron, Jr. of Longville, LA, Angelina Lynn Gaskin of Metairie, LA; along with great-great grandson, Alex Sumpter, Jr. of Sulphur, LA.

He is preceded in death by his three wives, Kathlein, Ginger, and Ann.

Services will be held at Hixson Funeral Home in Lake Charles on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at 2:00pm, with Rev. Dr. Bobbie Yellott officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 1:00pm until the time of the service. Burial will be at Saint John Memorial Gardens Cemetery in LaPlace, LA. on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at 1:00pm.
