

Those left to cherish Ray’s memory are his four daughters, Susan Laverty Lipsky, Mary Johnson, Martha Finch, and Melissa Duff; three sons, David Campbell, Robert Campbell, and Matthew Campbell; 16 grandchildren, Christopher Campbell, Mary Laverty, Daniel Laverty Elizabeth Lewis, Jennifer Piatt, Patrick Lewis, Danielle Finch, Natalie Finch, Kathleen Lewis, Noah Finch, Callie Campbell, Elliotte Campbell, Tristan Campbell, Gabriel Campbell, Abigal Pricer, and Chance Hanson; and four great grandchildren, Atticus Finch, Gracelyn Piatt, Marceline Campbell, and Rowan Greffe.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Mansfield Campbell; his son, Gary Wayne Campbell; his father, Joseph Sandy Campbell; his mother, Venida Aguillard Campbell; his sister Marguerite Campbell Parsons and his brother Eddy John Campbell.
Ray was very committed to family and to the end was known for taking care of others. He will be missed by everyone who was touched by his generosity.
The family requests that a time of visitation be observed on Sunday, March 27, 2022 from 5pm to 7pm with a rosary being prayed at 7pm at J.E. Hixson and Sons Funeral Home in Lake Charles. Visitation will resume on Monday, March 28, 2022 from 11am until time of dismissal at J.E. Hixson and Sons Funeral Home in Lake Charles. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Ray on Monday, March 28, 2022 at 1:30pm at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Lake Charles with burial following in the Highland Memory Garden
The family would like to express their gratitude and appreciation to Monarch Hospice of Fort Worth, Texas. In lieu of flowers, Ray wanted all his loved ones to drink a toast to him.
