WESTLAKE – Funeral services for Leon Placide Richard, 54, will be at 2 p.m. today, January 2, 1983 in Hixson Funeral Home Chapel.
The Rev. Tom Huhn of St. John Bosco Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Jennings, LA.
Mr. Richard died at 9 a.m. Friday, December 31, 1982 in a Sulphur hospital.
He was born on February 16, 1928. A native of Lacassine, he had lived in Lake Charles 30 years and was a butcher at Blanchette Market in Westlake. He was a World War Il PVT 46-47 TE C5 butcher serving with the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Letha Mae Richard; three daughters, Judy Ann Martin and Connie J. Trahan, both of West Lake, and Mrs. Joycelyn Miller of Moss Bluff; one brother, Dudley Richard of Lacassine; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Louvier of Jennings, Mrs. Mabel Monic of Evangeline, Mrs. Ruby Blanchette of Lake Charles and Mrs. Beatrice (Bee) Goldberg of Warrenburg, Mo., and six grandchildren.
