

Lillian (Boots) Carr died on September 6, 2011 after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was born in New Iberia, LA to Adam and Adele Lambert. She and her late husband, Robert Carr were married for 66 years and they were touchingly devoted to each other. They belonged to Immaculate Conception Parish in Sulphur. They were members of the Swinging Rebels square dance club. She was an employee of the Calcasieu Parish School Board. They traveled extensively during their retirement.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Dorothy Lambert and Irene B. Hazel as well as a brother, Charles G. Boudreaux, Jr. She is survived by her daughters, Eileen (James) Dew and Karen (David) Jumonville; son, R. Michael (Karen) Carr; eight grandchildren, Tricia (Dylan Lewis) Dew, Robert (Trish) Dew, Patrick Dew, Jeff (Julie) Jumonville, Michelle (Sean) Kelly, John (Angilique) Carr, Anne (Daniel) Welch, Katie Carr, and thirteen great-grandchildren, Savannah Dew and Scarlett Lewis, Morgan and Quincy Dew, Grace and Reece Jumonville, Kate and Anna Kelly, David and Kevin Carr, Wesley and Owen Welch, and Gabriel Cox.

Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, September 9, 2011 at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Burial will be in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday 5-8 p.m. with rosary at 6:30 p.m. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com
