Linda Faye Broussard LeBlanc

Linda was born on August 15, 1953 in Westlake, LA, the daughter of Norma Perkins Broussard and Paul Broussard, Sr. She was an amazing mother, daughter, aunt and friend. She was a woman of strong will and faith who loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, family and friends.

Linda was a 1972 graduate from LaGrange Senior High School, where she ran track and held a National Record for many years. Then she graduated from McNeese State University in 1976, achieving a B.S. in Education. In 1977, she began working in the Calcasieu Parish School system, where she later retired in 1997 to care for her son. She returned to work as an Educator in Cameron Parish, from 2007 to 2016.

She is survived by her parents, Norma and Paul Broussard, Sr; children, Cheryl (David) Brignac, Gerald Duhon, Jr, Jennie (Joshua, Sr.) Hardin and Brandi January; grandchildren, A’Jhan Robinson, Milana Brignac, Joshua Hardin, Jr, David Brignac, Jakeim Hardin and Ca’Leah Babin; siblings, David Broussard, Paul Broussard, Jr, Cynthia (Darryl) Muldrow, Donna Boyd, Anthony (Kelli) Broussard and Charles Broussard.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Stanley LeBlanc; sister, Carolyn Roberts and brother, Walter Roberts.

A Celebration of Linda’s life will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2016 from 8:00am until 12:00pm at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. The services will be held at New Emmanuel Baptist Church, 502 N. Lyons Street at 1:00pm. Burial will be at Perkins Cemetery in Westlake.
