Lisa Suzanne Garcia

Lisa Suzanne Garcia, 65, of Lake Charles, LA passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loved ones, on September 1, 2026. She is survived by her husband, Hector, and their children, Joseph and Lee; her parents, Tony & Barbara DiBartolo; her brothers, Tim and Todd; and her mother-in-law, Maria Margarita Frederick.

From an early age Lisa was quiet and caring, and held a strong compassion for animals. As a young girl she nurtured her fondness of music, learning to play the flute in the Lake Charles High School band, a practice she maintained throughout her life as she encouraged her children to pursue music and continued to play flute herself, accompanying the Temple Sinai Musical Shabbat Choir. After graduating LCHS, she enrolled at McNeese State University to study as a Medical Technologist, and later studied natural and holistic methods to help others suffering from pain and illness. She ranked her experiences as a phlebotomist and lab technician as some of her proudest accomplishments. Later in life, she cherished spending time with her family, and going on family vacations.

Lisa endured a long battle of health complications throughout her life, first being diagnosed with Crohn's disease as a child. After years of treatment with various medicines, she turned to a holistic approach for managing her disease, and subsequently lived the rest of her life without flare-ups. In middle age, Lisa was diagnosed with neuropathy, which she also answered with holistic treatments. The healing and comfort she experienced through alternative methods drove her passion to help others overcome their illnesses. Lisa was known to be a representative of Real Time Pain Relief, a natural pain relief product she shared with as many people she could, bringing it to various markets, conventions, and festivals; never in it for the money, her goal was always to give natural relief to as many people as possible. To the end of her life, she helped others in all the ways she knew how.

The people who loved her knew her to be kind, caring, and deeply faithful; quick to laugh; a proud sports fan, going to LSU Tigers and Houston Astros games; an online radio DJ; a Putt-Putt golf champion; and always enjoyed her coffee. She was amazingly strong despite all adversity.

The family will welcome the public for visitation will at J. E. Hixson & Sons Funeral Home in Lake Charles, LA, Tuesday, September 8, 2026, from 8 am until time of funeral service at 12 pm. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery.
