Lorena was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles. She was a member of The Catholic Daughter's of the America for 48 years. Lorena had several hobbies which included planting flowers, gardening, and cooking for her family and friends. Her family meant the world to her and she loved spending time with all of them, especially her grandchildren. Lorena was known to be a Mother to many.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Paul Floyd Stutes, Sr. of Hackberry; four grandchildren, Paul Floyd, Jr. and Lisa of Huffman, TX., Vickie Duhon and Richard of Maurice, Tony Stutes of Lake Charles, and Tara Mouhot and Greg of Lake Charles; eight great grandchildren, Paul Floyd Stutes, III, Lauren Stutes, Alexis Pousson, Ryan Stutes, Nick Mouhot, Nicole Credeur, Tiffanie Fontenot, and Anna Mouhot; five great great grandchildren, Liam, Lucas, Keller, Kohen Mouhot, and Jackson Pousson, a brother, John Harry Robin and Betty of Lafayette; a sister, Clara Mae Domingue of Lafayette; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Alpha Stutes; and numerous siblings.
Visitation services will be held on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles beginning at 4:00pm until 9:00pm with a rosary to be prayed at 6:00pm. Visitation will resume on Friday, December 18, 2020 at 8:00am until the time the procession will leave for church at 9:45am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Cathedral of Immaculate Conception at 10:00am. Pallbearers will be Tony Stutes, Richard Duhon, Greg Mouhot, Ryan Stutes, Brody Fontenot, Nick Mouhot, and Garet Pousson.
