Lovella Steedley

She was born in Mamou, LA and lived in Lake Charles most of her life. Lovella was a member of Heritage Baptist Church. She was a very loving and caring person who loved her family dearly. She was very devoted to her faith and loved to attend her church, being a great example as the oldest member of her congregation. As a resident of Tower Oaks for many years, she was very active and took part in many of the events that were planned for the residents.

Lovella is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, most recently her sister, Burna Holland.

She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. The Family would like to pay a special thanks to the Director of Tower Oaks, Shelly Young for her love and friendship to Lovey through the years. Appreciation to Norma May for making sure that Lovey got to attend church on Sunday mornings.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 21, 2017 from 11am until 1 pm Services will be held at 1pm at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Burial will follow at Consolata Cemetery. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com.
