Lovenia Willis

She was a faithful member of Immaculate Conception Cathedral for over 20 years and participated in the Alter Society. Lovenia adored cooking and hosting dinners with her family and friends. Her grandchildren were the center of her world. Lovenia was a unique and cherished woman who is already deeply missed by all who loved her.

She leaves behind her adoring husband of 63 years, Francis G. Willis, Jr; daughters, Patricia Bethea and husband Elvin of Missouri City, Tx, and Stacy Willis Kirkum of Lake Charles, La; grandchildren, Dawn Hillsman, Mark Armelin, and Patrick Armelin of Houston, Tx, Gregory Kirkum and husband Christopher of San Antonio, Tx, and Nicholas Kirkum of Lake Charles, La; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Agnes Ceasar; and brother, Maurice Hardy.

Lovenia is preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Azenor Hardy; sisters, Elia Wiltz, Beatrice Semien, Agnes Hurd; brothers, Antoine, Ernest, Gene, Nelson, Joseph, Furniss, Lucian, Azenor Jr., and Sidney Hardy.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation from the South Chapel of Hixson Funeral Home, Lake Charles, on Saturday, February 13, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until the Funeral Service at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Prien Memorial Park Cemetery.
