Lucille Kathleen Miller

Lucille Kathleen Miller, 84, passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2011. She was born in Iowa, LA and lived there most of her life. She was a member of St. Raphael's Catholic Church. She was a talented artist and well known for her paintings. She was a retired beautician and had attended McNeese State University where she was an art major. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who especially enjoyed being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her 2 sons, Bolden Miller and wife, Ava of Lake Charles and Stafford Miller and wife, Dina of Iowa; 4 brothers, Elwell Brashear of Lake Charles, Waldon Brashear of Lake Charles, LeRoy Brashear of Morgan City, Thomas “Buster” Brashear of Iowa; 5 grandchildren, Kristle Byrd, Reese Miller, Brian Miller and wife, Jenny, Jakus Miller, Samantha Miller; 6 great grandchildren, Irrik, Devon, Ariadyn, Klowie, Abbigail and Olivia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Otis J.H. Miller of Iowa; 6 sisters; 2 brothers and 2 great grandchildren. Her funeral will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Visitation will be 4-9 p.m. Monday with rosary at 6 p.m. Visitation will resume Tuesday morning at 8 a.m. and continue until the start of service. Burial will be in LeFranc Cemetery.
