Malchior John "Mike" Scuderi

Mike attended Sacred Heart Catholic School. He served in the 156th Infantry Regiment of the LA National Guard 3rd Battalion Company “C” from November of 1939 (at 18 years of age) until October 1945 as the company staff sergeant. He served in the European Campaign having traveled through Belfast, Ireland to Bristol, England. Mike was instrumental in the Third Wave Landing on D-day in Normandy, France. Mike was a Sales Manager for 57 years at Beverage Sales having retired at 92 years old.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 55 years; Shirley Lanclos Scuderi, son; Joseph “Joey” Scuderi & companion Julie Trappey, daughter; Linda Scuderi Broussard & husband Randy, all of Lake Charles, grandchildren; Melissa, Renee, Nicholas, Matthew, Tiffany, and Brandon. Great-grandchildren; Darby, Colby, Thomas, Graham, and Ethan. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents; Joseph Scuderi and Calogera Campo Scuderi, son; Marcus Scuderi, two brothers, and three sisters.

Visitation will commence at Hixson Funeral Home in Lake Charles on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The visitation will continue on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at the funeral home from 8:00 a.m. until Christian Catholic Service at 11:00 a.m. Father Jace Eskind will officiate.
